Day 47 of Lockdown

I love getting cute morning texts like "Your order has been shipped"

Happy Europe Day!

Now, let's GTTO and get us back into the EU...

Data Mining

I can't stress how dangerous these "innocent" little surveys are - even if the person who posted it doesn't realise, there hundreds of thousands of computers out there mining this information and building personal profiles of YOU.

And once they are able to see all of your answers to individual questions, they can start to guess intelligently at your passwords and secrets - Favourite colour, First Pet's name, How you like your eggs, year of birth, etc.

Google Doodle

Today's Google Doodle represents the anniversary of England's first mixed-race, and only Asian-heritage football player (so far), Frank Soo, who played in semi-official matches during WWII.

It's a interesting and heart-warming read.

US Elections

Not that I have any sway or influence on US elections (or do I?)

But it was my adoptive home for many years and I have a special place in my heart for it.

Seeing it go through the "Nazi Phase" of its life pains me deeply. I also see that same populist manifesto copied across to British life, and that bothers me greatly.

So here is my official endorsement:

I endorse Joe Biden for President, Kamala Harris for VP and Adam Schiff for AG. And I'd fully endorse a new department for Stacey Abrams to lead - Department of Elections, devoted to ensuring the integrity of the voting process at every level in every state.

Anyone agree/disagree?

I'd also like to see top jobs for Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib.

Unfortunately, I think the USA has a long way to go before it has a woman, especially a non-white woman, as President. And that makes me incredibly sad.

I think, and dearly hope, that AOC may be the first

And while we are in the US...

Here is why the Supreme Court should force Trump to disclose his tax and financial information.

Spanish Flu 1918

A good article on the Beeb on how people tried to curb Spanish flu pandemic in 1918.

I met this little fella while out for my walk earlier - very tame. Almost as tame as American Squirrels...

Then unfortunately, my mood was tarnished on the way home when I saw this poster on a lamppost for a anti-lockdown demonstration. These people are morons!

Rescued Sloth

And now, for no reason at all, here is a picture of a rescued Sloth...
