Detailed Review

Food 4 Stars

Great Cafe fare. I built a breakfast I wanted from a base (Eggs, Bacon & Beans in my case) and the guy I took to be Frank asks about all the extras - The toast was amazing, the food cooked really well. Kim asked for a well-cooked Bacon sandwich with Cheese - It was apparently cooked perfectly.

Ambience 4 Stars

We visited on a Tuesday morning at 10:00 and the place was rocking. Full of workmen and locals meeting up to chew the fat and get their day started. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly and the banter with the locals was fun and genuine.

Accessibility 3 Stars

A flat surface all the way through the cafe. The rear seats of the cafe and the toilets may be a little too cramped for wheelchair users, but I'm willing to bet the staff would go out of their way to help you if required.

Cost 4 Stars

The cost of the food and drinks was inline with what I would expect to pay for breakfast in a Cafe. No mark-up for London either. I was very pleased with the price and the value for money.

Service 5 Stars

The staff and the service were excellent. They couldn't do enough to help. They smiled and there was a genuine warmth from all of them. I think they are a family outfit.

Summary 4 Stars

I loved Frank's Cafe. Situated in Southwark, I had Googled a cafe to get some breakfast. Frank's was recommended by Google's algorithms and it did not disappoint! A great London Cafe situated at 132 Southwark St, London SE1 0SW. I seem to end up in Southwark quite a lot - I'll definitely visit Frank's again every time!
